This fruity and flavorful 53% dark milk chocolate hails from Tumaco, a region along the Pacific Coast of Colombia, historically an important area for the illicit cocaine trade. Many of the farmers here were once coca farmers and have converted their crop to cacao as an alternative. The Nativo coffee used to top the bar originates with Nasa Indigenous communities in the Cauca department of Colombia. Both the chocolate and coffee support people from indigenous communities who've been marginalized by the Colombian government.
This bar is offered in solidarity with these cacao and coffee farmers. Our micro-batch chocolate bar series features fine cacao from around the world. To further our mission to support small-scale cacao farmers and bring awareness to the care and attention given to this incredible food, we’re offering this micro-batch bar for a limited time. We hope you enjoy it!
