Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate was started in 2004 and is owned and operated by me, Mimi Wheeler. After a long career as a social worker, I started this company to help celebrate life with a dose of laughter and a bit of the very best chocolate every day. Our chocolates are all natural and contain many organic and other naturally grown ingredients. I grow all of the herbs in my own gardens, and we package the chocolates in recyclable materials when possible. We produce and sell the chocolate from beautiful Leelanau County, Michigan.
Businesses with whom we collaborate, for their quality of product and their ethical standards:
We offer our loving thanks to Ted Gilmer, Mary Gribbin, Jack Gyr, Chandra Demers, and Richard Taber for their help in creating and developing this website. Loving thanks go to Carlene Peregrine, who helped bring Grocer's Daughter into adulthood.
