Chocolate tasting – $10/person (1 hr class; min 4 people) A fun, educational class including information about how chocolate is grown, produced and handcrafted into scrumptious confections. You’ll taste chocolate in it’s raw form plus you’ll hone your palate by tasting chocolates with varying degrees of cocoa mass and sugar.
Rustic truffle-making – $40/person (2.5 hr class; min 4 people). In this hands-on class we’ll make rustic truffles by roasting cacao beans, making our own chocolate ganache and then selecting your favorite spices/fats to make truffles.
Campfire cacao roasting and chocolate tasting – $40/person (2.5 hr class; min 4 people) Weather permitting. We’ll roast beans over an open fire and make hot chocolate. This class includes a fun chocolate tasting, leading you through a guided bean to bonbon adventure.

This 11 day/12 night adventure to Ecuador allows you to explore first-hand the wonders of one of our world’s most coveted treats – chocolate! We’ll visit cacao farmers in the Amazon and learn about the origins of chocolate. No trip to Ecuador would be complete without time to revel in the spectacular landscape and vibrant indigenous culture of the country. We’ll be hosted by the family of Miriam and Jamie Perugachi Vasquez – friends of Mimi’s (our founder) and Jody’s – in their rural indigenous community of Peguche, where we’ll share in their vibrant Kichwa culture. In addition, we’ll visit several inspirational indigenous owned and operated business throughout the journey!
