This 10-day adventure to Ecuador allows you to explore first-hand the wonders of one of our world’s most coveted treats – chocolate! We’ll visit cacao farmers in the Amazon and learn about the origins of chocolate, pod to the port. No trip to Ecuador would be complete without time to revel in the spectacular landscape and vibrant indigenous culture of the country. We’ll be hosted by the family of Miriam and Jamie Perugachi Vasquez – friends of Mimi’s and Jody’s – in their rural indigenous community of Peguche, where we’ll share in their vibrant Kichwa culture. In addition, we’ll visit several inspirational indigenous owned and operated business throughout the journey!
